Today I weighed 57.3 kilos. I started out as 75.0 or maybe a little over (I can't remember) but pretty much I've almost lost about 18 kilos - I don't know at this point how much that is in pounds. My goal weight was 55 kilos because that's what I remember I was one day years ago and I know I was at that time, more my correct body weight.
At this time, I'm on a 3 week bit of a crash diet - no, I wouldn't normally go on one, but atleast I've given it a time frame. I'm having an orange a day - very filling with vitamin C and fibre I believe, with a few spoons of yoghurt (calcium) and then I have my chocolate milk and fruit juice. That's it, and I don't get hungry, which is surprising even me. Even though I was losing weight on my regular diet, it was taking a while for my stomach to go down so this is why I'm on this current temporary diet, and it's working at a fast pace.
I still would like at times the foods I used to eat, but in the future I will be more mindful of portion size. It's so easy to over eat and eat much more than you need, hence, it's very easy to become overweight. I thought about it the other day, when we invest in being more careful with the amount that we eat, we are investing in something 'higher' - our aims and objectives and goals are higher at that point in time. High investment - high return. Low investment - low return. When you eat and eat and eat until you see there's no more chips in the packet - this is a low investment. If you don't know how much you're going to eat until you've finished eating, that's got to be a low investment.
Before, I'd eat what I wanted, and as much of it as I wanted, as many times as I wanted it and it showed on my body. I invested low in keeping my body in shape and my body reflected my choices. Low investment - low return. Now, I'm making a high investment and getting a high return. I'm not used to being this thin, but I can get used to it. When I get to about 55 kilos I'll see if I can post another up to date photo of me on this site next to another 'before' photo so you can see the difference.

ps. I had to cut right down the peanut butter and hazelnut spread I was having - it was getting out of hand. I have smaller portions of those now (on my regular diet).
