Easter Bunny
DATE: 04/10/2009 04:32:21 / MOOD: happy

Well Day 1 of Easter is drawing to a close and I am happy to report that I haven't touched any chocolate or hot cross buns!

A friend was coming around this morning to hang out with us while her partner and my husband were going for a surf, the day seemed like it was going to stay dry so i opted for us to hang out down on the beach, you know to keep my mind busy and away for the goodies! lol.

Anyway, I find it very relaxing being at the beach. So there we were most of the morning. Even when it came time for lunch (and you can't have anything else than Fish and Chips! or a BBQ of course at the beach) I opted for a Tuna Salad Sandwich on a wheat bun. (mm yummo!)

So, my plan has worked (lol, so far!) no we're being positive! lol... yes yes, stay positive....

Missing You
DATE: 04/08/2009 23:07:23 / MOOD: happy

I am feeling happy!

I've had a hot chocolate shake with added protein for brekkies, a handful of red grapes and passion fruit yoghurt for a snack and a tuna salad sub on wheat bun and i feel alright, i feel good.

I am having a good day, in that i've been fortunate to enjoy some 'me' time with our son being at lil' school and hubby working hard to bring home the bacon!

I went out this morning to get some extra groceries to tie us over the long weekend, being Easter and all. Ok, maybe an Easter egg or two! lol. But, I chose a dark chocolate egg that's 50% cocoa which is improvement for me! and it's just the one egg too! lol.

I had another call from Lorraine (my coach) yesterday. It's funny how you look forward to some things, anyway we'd arranged that she would call at 1.30pm and well that time came and went and I wanted to call my mum in NZ but didn't want to tie up the line if Lorraine was to call, 2-3 hours went by and still Lorraine hadn't called, giving me enough time to have called mum had i done so.

Anyway, it ended up being 5pm by the time she called and we were just about to head out the door! great timing. But I am glad she called none the less.

Funnily enough she asked if i loved chocolate and how i thought i would do being Easter and all. So it was good to think and talk about that, hence the dark chocolate egg i bought to go in the freezer 'IF' i feel i need something rich dark and sweet!

Well hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend.

Happy Easter!

Making Progress :)
DATE: 04/05/2009 23:54:22 / MOOD: loosing weight

Well, I am feeling pretty pumped at the moment and i like the feeling!

I've just gotten off the phone from speaking with my 'coach' Lorraine. Reporting my stats with her e.g weight and measurements. In just three days (Friday was when i spoke to her last) I've lost 0.8kg/800gm, so i am fully flying high right now! It's moments when you feel like this, like accomplishing your weight loss is achievable and there's no doubt whatsoever in your mind or your ability and you think if you could just keep feeling like this all the time, but unfortunately life happens and it will fade but then the fight in you comes and again through sweat and pain you accomplish a miracle of losing more weight.

So it's what I do when this flying high feel fades and I'm left with reality. Will I shrink? or will i keep pressing forward?

But, for now i will let myself enjoy this accomplishment and power on through to another day.

Another go!
DATE: 04/05/2009 05:39:28 / MOOD: high

Well, considering my behaviour lately, it's been a good day!

I am looking forward to a fresh start, approaching a new day tomorrow.

Just as i've said that, i am feeling a bit achey and hot so i'm off to get myself a good nights sleep.

Bring on MONDAY- Day 1.

Hello, anyone there?
DATE: 04/04/2009 00:02:07 / MOOD: happy

I am wondering where everyone is? or if anyone uses this site still?

I guess with time zones etc people are sleeping? lol.

I am in Australia and would love to join up with anyone else on here from Australia or New Zealand. I'm a 'kiwi girl' myself.

I can't believe how many people haven't uploaded a profile pic, is it that hard to do? I tried but all my pictures seem to be too large? and i don't know how to resize them, so if anyone can help that would be great!

Home Sweet Home
DATE: 04/03/2009 23:41:01 / MOOD: happy

The fare is all booked and paid for and all that's left to do is SAVE and SHAVE!

SAVE $money$ to spend of course on travel, food etc and of course if all goes well with losing weight i will be needing a new wardrobe!

SHAVE as much excess weight!

I am heading back to greener pastures (NZ) in November this year for two weeks. I am excited as it's the first time that my husband will be accompanying me and our son. I've been back three times already once with our son in 2007 before he turned two and had to pay pretty much full fare.

So it's my aim, my goal to make changes to my lifestyle and lose weight

1. so i can travel lighter so to speak and feel comfortable travelling in such a small/tight space (they're not the most comfortable things airplanes)

2. to feel and look better about myself. enjoy myself with family and friends

3. move around easily (and not be so tired and lethargic)

4. to accomplish something that has been an extreme struggle for too long and to be proud of my accomplishment.

Ideally i would love to lose 58kg by then (being 31 weeks/7 months/just under 2kg a week/just over 8kg a month) BUT whatever is lost is a loss still the same huh? and like they say lil' things(steps) lead to big things.

So, what's my plan of attack?

1. drink plenty of water daily

2. early to bed early to rise

3. fresh fruit and vegetables

4. high protein, low-moderate carbs

5. 30mins moderate exercise daily (bike ride, walk, jog (of course as i get more fit and healthy)

6. log onto MWLD regularly

So, wish me luck!
