ARGHHHHHHHHHHH

07/10/2007 22:10:23 / angry

Well, I had been doing sooooo good on my diet for almost a week and I messed it up tonight.  I had some leftover pasta and a glass of milk.  Why would I do that?  Why didn't that inner voice in my mind scream DON'T DO THAT instead of just whisper?  I've probably undid all the good I had done, not to mention all the EXERCISE!  I am just so frustrated that I would eat like that...not to mention at night time.  I can already feel the fat cells swelling.  ARGH!!!!  I'll start over again tomorrow.  I'm just so angry at myself for my moment of weakness tonight.  Sorry for the venting.  Angela

hang in there.  that doesn't sound like a bad meal..  depending on "how much" pasta..  like I said it's all in portion control..  before I started my diet my Girlfriend and I would prepare a meal for us and would generally have about a "half a meal" in leftovers..  we made just a little to much.  well instead of saving it for another time I would pretty much take care of it and avoid the need to save it for a week and watch it rot then have to clean the messy dishes a week later..  and that is where I would eat TOO MUCH.  the fact that you have leftovers mean you are making too much food and giving yourself the oppritunity to eat more than you need..  MEASURE EVERYTHING!  if you get hungry later eat something small that curbs your hunger.  we like these little 60 calorie single servings a string cheese.  and they make almost all of your favorite snacks in those "100 calorie" packages now..  milk and pasta are good for your diet (unless you're doing the atkins thing which I have issues with)  you need protien and carbs to help what food you eat have some "staying power"  that food that sticks to you so you don't get hungry 10 mins later..  keep plugging away and don't get angry about one meal where you go wrong more times than not it will "help" you more than hurt.  your body will get used to what you're doing to it and will adapt.  it's good to throw it a curve ball once in a while..  it keeps your metabolism on it's toes!
