Hiya everyone. Long long have I been thinking of starting a food diary and now finally the day has come for me to stop thinking and start putting my thoughts into action.
I'm 20 years old, 1.72m 'tall' and currently weigh about 85kg. However, unfortunately I got cut off from my job recently - I've been working in a warehouse and therefor was engaged in quite a lot of physical activity e.g. lifting heavy boxes, carrying stuff around, running around everywhere and collecting items for hundrets of orders - i guess you get the idea, quite a physically demanding job...
However, unfortunately recession finally hit me as well and so it was time for me to pack my bags by the end of February this year (business usually starts getting really tight by that time around so its no wonder they reduced staff) and since then I'm struggling hell of a lot to not eat the whole day out of frustration and boredom.
Boredom is mainly caused by the fact that I'm alone most of the time, my husband works as a bartender in quite a fancy place in central London and has to work a terrible shift-pattern. A good example is today, he got up at seven, left 45 minutes later to be on time for work and yet won't come home until 2am or maybe even later.
WELL. I've got to change something if I don't want to explode any time in the near future, and so.. tataaaaa... the other day I had a brilliant idea.
Inspired by all the work outs from 'the biggest loser' - one of my favourite tv shows, shame they only do it once a year - I got myself a kettlebell, weighing 8kg. People, I'm telling you, even though I'm no princess and seriously consider myself capable of doing quite some tough stuff... but HELL IT HURTS. And exactly that is telling me that it was just about time to start disciplining myself again to avoid disaster.
I can't believe that in less than 2 months I lost all my fitness and muscle tissue. Unbelievable how fast it goes.
However, I'm now really motivated to lift, swing and push that thing around to help me get back in shape. My primary goal is not weight loss (I don't even own a scales haha) but increased levels of fitness, more happiness, more agility and a more toned body.
I hope to aid the process by taking protein shakes, one as a dietary substitute for meals and one as an addition either before or after training. After all they are quite tasty and the kettlebell is a lot of fun so I think I might manage to get nearer to my goal - not a skinny bod that is, but fewer lumps and bumps and more tone allover.
Alrighty, we'll see how it goes.
My regards to everyone and KEEP GOING.
